Ambassador   

Many people support charitable foundations through donations, while others choose to volunteer. These volunteers can be seen as ambassadors for the cause. They are representatives of what Pink Ribbon and all breast cancer charity foundations stand for. You too can be an ambassador for breast cancer, by volunteering at local affiliates of breast cancer foundations, or by simply participating in breast cancer events.


Amanda Witteman - Pink Ribbon (international)

Amanda Witteman worked as an international model in Paris, Milan, New York and other fashion capitals of the world. During her modeling career she graduated as a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. She was also involved in setting up various initiatives in the health sector. Amanda got inspired and engaged with the Pink Ribbon movement when she met Walter Scheffrahn, founder of Pink Ribbon. Later they married. Amanda has become the international face of Pink Ribbon.

René Syler - Susan G. Komen Foundation (USA)

A former anchor for CBS-news' The Early Show, René joined the Susan G. Komen Foundation as an ambassador in January of 2007. Prior to this she spent years volunteering for the organization and supporting various events as emcee, activist, and educator. As an ambassador for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, René travels throughout the US attending various breast cancer events

Cynthia Nixon - Susan G. Komen Foundation (USA)

Best known for her role as Miranda, in the popular television show Sex and the City, Cynthia Nixon has been an ambassador for the Susan G. Komen Foundation since April 2008. Cynthia herself is a breast cancer survivor, and the daughter of a two-time breast cancer survivor. As an ambassador to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Cynthia strives to empower women to take an active role in their breast health.

Reese Witherspoon - Avon Foundation (USA)

The popular Hollywood actor Reese Witherspoon was recently appointed as the Avon Foundation global ambassador. As the first ever ambassador for the Avon Foundation, Reese Witherspoon will be traveling throughout the US to show her support at the various events hosted by the Avon Foundation.


Kate Ceberano - National Breast Cancer Foundation (Australia)

Eager to be part of finding the cure Kate has chosen to support the NBCF, who have funded over $26million in research since their inception. As ambassador for the NBCF, Kate's goal is to raise awareness in Victoria, but also raise funds for the cause. The award winning artist has had family affected by the disease, and consequently feels strongly about supporting the NBCF. Together with the other ambassadors for the NBCF, Kate does her best to raise funds for breast cancer research and awareness.


Elizabeth Hurley - Estee Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation (USA)

Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born 10 June 1965) is an English model and former actress who became known as a girlfriend of Hugh Grant in the 90s. The highlight of Hurley's professional life has been her association with the cosmetics company Estée Lauder. The company gave Hurley her first modeling job at the age of 29 and has used her as a model for its products, especially perfumes such as Sensuous, Intuition and Pleasures, since 1995. Elizabeth promotes Estée Lauder and is ambassador of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an Estée Lauder initiative.


Denise Lewis - Breast Cancer Care (UK)

Denise Lewis, Olympic gold medalist, became Breast Cancer Care's ambassador at the end of 2004. Since then she has headed various initiatives, such as the charity's Pink Aerobics, in Regent's Park. Denise has also lent support to other sporting events run by Breast Cancer Care, providing hints and tips on training for participants. In early 2005, Denise took part in the charity's advertising campaign, "Strength through Support".
